Kineton Playgroup releases first Children's CD - November 2005

Kineton Playgroup has released their first children’s CD. The CD, which has been produced to raise money for Playgroup, includes popular children's songs sung by children of Kineton playgroup and the reception class from Kineton Primary school, with a little help from the staff.  In addition to the songs, the CD includes both Goldilocks and the Three little pigs, read by Playgroup staff .  It also includes some original songs by one of the CD’s producers along with some simple finger rhymes.

The CD was produced by David and Rebecca, parents of Emily (3) in Kineton Playgroup.  David and Rebecca came in one morning and worked on the songs with the children, recording them live.

The CD runs for about 30 minutes and costs £5.00. The CDs have been made to raise money for the Playgroup.   The CD will be on sale at the Playgroup’s Christmas Fayre on November 19th, between 2 and 4pm at Kineton High School.  Afterwards the CD can be bought directly from Playgroup, please enquire by clicking here.

Rebecca commented: “This is the first time Kineton Playgroup has done anything like this before.  The children had a great time recording the CD and we know they will enjoy listening to the result.  Children who have graduated from Playgroup are bound to enjoy listening to the staff they know so well telling the stories and trying to work out which silly voice belongs to who.  Other children should enjoy the familiar songs and stories and hearing other children singing.  Who knows we may have the first recording of a future Will Young or Madonna.”

Kineton Playgroup have a few places available for children aged between two and three-quarters and four years old, mainly on Tuesdays and Thursdays.   Kineton Playgroup has recently been awarded “Investors in Children” status by the Pre-school Learning Alliance.
