KINETON,
13th June, 2006 --- Kineton Playgroup announced today
that it is the winner of the Warwickshire Childcare Employer of the
Year award.
The
award was presented by Councillor Izzi Seccombe, Cabinet Member for
Children’s Services, at a ceremony on Friday 9th June
at the Corus Hotel, Honiley.
Councillor
Izzi Seccombe commented: “The judges were very impressed with the
quality of childcare available across Warwickshire and the award
winners represent the pick of the bunch. Kineton Playgroup offers
good, flexible working conditions for the staff and non-financial
benefits. They also have opportunities for training and development,
open and honest discussion between all team members and an
outstanding level of communications.
This results in a well-motivated staff team and a high level
of staff retention, providing continuity for the children in their
care.”
Helen
Brereton, Supervisor of Kineton Playgroup, said: “It is a great
honour to have received this award.
We do work hard to ensure our staff are motivated and enjoy
their work. If they are
happy in their work, we know they will give their absolute best to
looking after and developing the children in our care.”
Over
the past few months Kineton Playgroup has had a run of good news.
In October Kineton Playgroup announced that it had achieved the
Investors in Children Quality Assurance Award.
And in December 2005 the Playgroup was awarded £177,450 of
lottery funding to build a purpose-built pre-school facility on land
situated at
Kineton
Primary School
