Review - November 2007 |

Before
the half term break we were talking about fairy stories and
concentrated on Jack and the Beanstalk. We sponge painted a large
beanstalk and got messy using our fingers to paint clouds. We made
Jack out of tissue paper and had some fantastic paintings of giants. Walking
into Helen’s Place after half term was like walking into a spot
the difference game. The flooring in the craft area has been
extended, new taps in the children’s toilets- I wonder how many
other changes you can spot. We
have continued with our fairy tale theme by looking at the story of
Cinderella. The children have had fun scooping out the seeds from
pumpkins, they have made pumpkin damper (bread) and planted pumpkin
seeds. It is surprising how many activities you can do with a large
vegetable. Our
next topic is ‘Light and Celebrations’ and we will start by
looking at bonfire night and fireworks.
