Christmas is nearly here and life at
Playgroup has been very exciting!
Our Christmas play “The Innkeeper’s
Breakfast” made stars of all our children. They had all worked so
hard at learning the songs, practising all the actions and going on
the stage. It was a wonderful experience for us all and as a staff,
we were extremely proud of them. Costumes looked beautiful, the
stage sparkled and baby Jesus arrived at the right time (and the
right way up!) The addition of the microphone made such a
difference. Thank you to everyone who helped in any way to create
the magical moments that we all experienced on Tuesday.
We just finished the play and then it was
time to party! (The staff partied first on Tuesday evening at The
Baraset) and then it was the turn of the children. Magic Rose
performed her usual amazing tricks. Where did that dove come from?
The rabbits sat so well in their boxes and all the children enjoyed
the performance. The food worked well using the boxes which meant
that the children could take their unfinished bits home and the
children who have allergies could have food provided by their
parents served in the same boxes. Party games were great fun - the
snowball fight was wonderful. Father Christmas was great - he made
all the children feel special and the photographs of each child will
be a lasting memory jogger of the occasion. Thank you to all those
people who were involved in the party - the staff had a great time
as we could party too!
We are returning to our normal (!) routine
after our exciting week and extending our knowledge of all things
Advent and Nativity. We have been busy making cards, presents, tree
decorations and wrapping paper. All these Christmas goodies will be
coming home during the last few days of term. We are looking forward
to the Toy Service at church and visiting Big School to see their
nativity play.
The staff at Playgroup would like to wish
everybody at Playgroup a Happy Christmas and an exciting New Year!
Don’t forget to use our post box for cards to all our friends.!
